The easiest way to get a bootable USB stick is to find a friend (or a Bitmaker instructor) with Ubuntu already installed and ask them to use the start-up disk creator that comes with Ubuntu. It can be pinned to the Start menu for quick access. Using Linux in Windows. When you launch the distro, it will open the Bash shell and install the distro.
